Shaun Tan

Shaun Tan was born in 1974 and grew up in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. At school, she was known as the "good draftsman". She graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1995 with honors in Fine Arts and English Literature. She currently works full-time as a freelancer and author.
