Charles Bukowski
Charles Bukowski nasceu na Alemanha, em 1920, mas cresceu em Los Angeles, onde viveu durante cinquenta anos. Publicou o seu primeiro conto em 1944, quando tinha vinte e quatro anos, e começou a escrever poesia com trinta e cinco anos. Morreu em 1994, aos setenta e três anos, pouco tempo depois de completar o seu último romance, Pulp. Viu publicados mais de quarenta e cinco livros de prosa e poesia, incluindo os romances Post Office (1971), Factotum (1975), Women (1978), Ham on Rye (1982), Hollywood (1989) e Pulp (1994).
