J. R. Ward lives in the Southern United States with her husband and their beloved golden retriever. After graduating from law school, he began his professional life in healthcare in Boston, spending many years as a team leader at one of the nation's leading clinical centers. Writing has always been his passion, and his idea of Heaven is a whole day with nothing but his computer, his dog and the coffee mug.

Jessica Ward is a pseudonym of the #1 New York Times best-selling author known as J. R. Ward, creator of the famous "Brotherhood of the Black Dagger" saga, which has more than 20 million books in print worldwide. Jessica lives in the Southern United States with her family and their dogs, and enjoys spending some of her free time in the Adirondacks.
