Evelio Rosero

Evelio Rosero (Bogotá, 1958) é um dos grandes escritores colombianos da geração que se seguiu a García Marquez. Estudou Comunicação Social e começou a publicar em 1984. A sua obra tem sido traduzida em muitos idiomas e frequentemente distinguida com galardões literários. Os Exércitos, o primeiro romance de Evelio Rosero publicado em Portugal, obteve o Prémio Nacional de Literatura da Colômbia, o Prémio Independent para a melhor Ficção Estrangeira e o Prémio Tusquets "pela singular elegância e a mestria, não isentas de dramatismo, com que (o autor) aborda um assunto, que por ser habitual não é menos difícil de tratar - a violência arbitrária e irracional."
