ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Philippe Jarbinet

Philippe Jarbinet, born in 1965 in Liège, Belgium, published his first album in 1992 with the editions Blanco: Sandy Eastern with a script by Franz.
Three years later, he wrote the ten volumes of Ash Memory, who started drawing in 1994 and whose works were published by Glénat between 1995 and 2007.
Again in Glénat, participated in the collective thriller A Madness very common, imagined by Christian Godard, who then wrote and drew three episodes of Sam Bracken 2003.
When he arrived at Casterman In 2009, he changed his style and technique. The albums AIRBORNE 44The paintings, for which he also draws and writes the script, are produced in solid colors. Operating in the form of diptychs, these war stories are based on human dramas. The success was immediate and allowed Philippe Jarbinet to place himself among the great realist authors.
Rigorous in both writing, drawing, and coloring, Philippe Jarbinet skillfully perpetuates the classic realistic graphic novel story, bringing a touch of modernity.
