Retrato da Região do Douro, desafia-nos para uma viagem de descoberta por terras da região do Alto Douro Vinhateiro.

Da milenar presença histórica patenteada nas gravuras e pinturas rupestres do Paleolítico no Vale do Côa (classificado pela UNESCO como Património da Humanidade), às muralhas, castelos de época medieval, às igrejas e tradicionais celebrações religiosas, às casas típicas de xisto, junta-se a prodigiosa ação humana que, com a construção dos socalcos, permitiu o desenvolvimento da produção do famoso Vinho do Porto, envelhecido nas típicas Caves em Vila Nova de Gaia.

Portrait of the Douro Region, challenges us to a voyage of discovery through the lands of the Alto Douro Vinhateiro region.

From the millenary historical presence shown in the Paleolithic engravings and cave paintings in the Côa Valley (classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site), to the walls, castles and pillories of the medieval period, to the churches and traditional religious celebrations, to the typical schist houses, together the prodigious human action that, with the construction of the terraces, allowed the development of the production of the famous Port Wine, aged in the typical cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.
