Marcia C. Schenck

Marcia C. Schenck é professora de História Global na Universidade de Potsdam, Alemanha. Os seus temas de investigação incluem a história global e da África, a história oral, a história do trabalho e da educação e história das migrações. Doutorou-se em História pela Universidade de Princeton e é mestre em Estudos Africanos pela Universidade de Oxford. Publicou em revistas diversas como Africa, African Economic History, e Labor History, entre outras. Coeditou um volume acerca das múltiplas relações entre a Alemanha de Leste e o continente africano juntamente com Eric Burton, Anne Dietrich e Immanuel Harisch chamado Navigating Socialist Encounters: Moorings and (Dis) Entanglements between Africa and East Germany during the Cold War (2021). É cofundadora da rede H-Net Refugees in African History (https://networks.h-net.org/african-refugees-crossroads) e a fundadora do projeto Global History Dialogues (https://globalhistorydialogues.org), que faz parte do Global History Lab da Universidade de Cambridge.
