McKenzie Wark é professora de Estudos Culturais e dos Média e diretora do programa de Estudos de Género no Lang College da New School for Social Research em Nova Iorque. É autora de obras teóricas inovadoras centradas no legado cultural e político da Internacional Situacionista, bem como nas mudanças sociais e culturais produzidas pela incursão das tecnologias de informação na vida quotidiana, das quais se destacam Um Manifesto Hacker, Gamer Theory e Capital is Dead.
