DiPerna escreveu também vários livros de não ficção e numerosos artigos. Tem trabalhado como consultora ambiental global, especializada em economia ambiental e alterações climáticas. Foi pioneira nos mercados de carbono em todo o mundo e diretora de uma grande instituição filantrópica sediada nos EUA. DiPerna colaborou igualmente como escritora e co-produtora com o lendário explorador de oceanos Jacques-Yves Cousteau, viajando com ele por todo o mundo, incluindo os confins da floresta tropical amazónica, desenvolvendo numerosos documentários.
