Axel Honneth

Axel Honneth (1949) é um reputado filósofo e sociólogo alemão. Dirige, desde 2001, o Institut für Sozialforschung, da Universidade de Frankfurt, a célebre instituição em que surgiria a chamada Escola de Frankfurt. Honneth é também professor de Filosofia Social na mesma universidade, desde 1996. No campo da filosofia social e prática, está envolvido no projeto de relançamento da tradição da Teoria Crítica, da Escola de Frankfurt, que teve em Horkheimer, Adorno e Habermas ilustres antecessores.
