Anna Burns nasceu em Belfast, em 1962. É autora dos romances No Bones (vencedor do prémio Winifred Holtby Memorial e finalista do prémio Orange), Little Constructions e da novela Mostly Hero. Vive em East Sussex, Inglaterra. Milkman foi vencedor dos prémios Booker, National Book Critics Circle e Orwell para ficção política, e esteve nomeado para o Women’s Prize for Fiction 2019.
