John Currin

Wells Tower was born in Vancouver, Canada, in 1973. He studied Anthropology and Sociology at Wesleyan University and fiction writing at Columbia University. After graduating, he traveled across the United States, living off odd jobs, and began his writing career when he convinced an editor at Washington Post Magazine to publish an article about a carnival professional. Since then, Tower has published stories and articles in magazines such as The New Yorker, Harper's Magazine, McSweeny's, GQ, The Paris Review, The Anchor Book of New American Short Stories, among others. He lives between North Carolina and New York City.
