David Melling

David Melling nasceu em Oxford. O seu pai era escultor e David herdou a sua inclinação artística. Iniciou a sua carreira como ilustrador em 1986, trabalhando para revistas e agências de publicidade e de animação. É em 1993 que ilustra o seu primeiro livro infantil, e desde então nunca mais parou (já com mais de 60 livros). Atualmente escreve também as suas histórias e é reconhecido como o criador do Martim - o Urso dos Abraços.
