ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Colin Mcnaughton

Colin McNaughton nasceu em Wallsend-upon-Tyne, em Northtumberland, em 1951. Licenciou-se como designer gráfico na Central School of Art e, posteriormente, concluiu um mestrado em ilustração no Royal College of Art. Actualmente, Colin vive em Londres com a sua mulher e os seus dois filhos.

Desde a publicação do seu primeiro título, em 1976, fez cerca de 80 livros, muitos dos quais foram simultaneamente escritos e ilustrados por si, e é hoje reconhecido como um dos mais importantes ilustradores da Grã-Bretanha. Os seus livros receberam vários prémios e nomeações distintas: o Prémio Smarties, a Medalha Kate Greenaway, o WHSmith/SHE Under-Fives Book Award e o Stcockpot Schools Book Award for Key Stage One. Além destes prémios, Colin foi ainda distinguido com o Emil/Kurt Maschler Award.
