Colin Mcnaughton
Colin McNaughton was born in Wallsend-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, in 1951. He graduated as a graphic designer from the Central School of Art and later completed a master's degree in illustration at the Royal College of Art. Currently, Colin lives in London with his wife and two children.
Since the publication of his first title in 1976, he has produced around 80 books, many of which were simultaneously written and illustrated by himself, and is now recognized as one of Britain's most important illustrators. His books have received numerous awards and nominations: the Smarties Award, the Kate Greenaway Medal, the WHSmith/SHE Under-Fives Book Award, and the Stcockpot Schools Book Award for Key Stage One. In addition to these awards, Colin was also distinguished with the Emil/Kurt Maschler Award.
