ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Thomas Mcguane

Thomas McGuane was born in Michigan into a Catholic family of Irish descent. A bad relationship with his alcoholic father —which would later haunt his novels—and the closeness to his maternal clan—prolific storytellers —would have made him discover early on that he wanted to be a writer. He studied playwriting and dramatic literature. At 31, the New York Times recognized his "Faulknerian potential," and later Saull Beloow referred to him as "a star of language." Thomas McGuane is the author of nine novels, three works of nonfiction, and two collections of short stories, and lives on a ranch in Mcleod, Montana.
