Jeffrey Eugenides

Jeffrey Eugenides nasceu em Detroit, nos EUA, em 1960. O seu primeiro romance, "As virgens suicidas", foi publicado em 1993 com grande sucesso, tendo sido traduzido para 15 idiomas e adaptado para o cinema em 1999, num filme homónimo dirigido por Sofia Coppola. Com o segundo livro, "Middlesex", Eugenides ganhou o Pulitzer e o Circle Award em 2003, além de ter sido nomeado para o National Book Award e o Lambda Literary Award. Os seus contos já ocuparam as páginas de publicações como The New Yorker, The Paris Review,The Yale Review, Best American Short Stories e Granta's Best of Young American Novelists, entre outras.
