ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Takashi Hiraide

Takashi Hiraide nasceu em 1960, em Kita-Kyushu, e formou-se na Universidade Hitotsubashi. Poeta, escritor e professor na Faculdade de Artes de Tama, é autor de vários livros. Venceu o prémio literário Yomiuri e o prémio Memorial Toson de Fomento às Artes.
Em 2008, a edição integral da sua antologia de poesia foi distinguida como Melhor Livro de Literatura Estrangeira do Ano nos Estados Unidos e recebeu o prémio de Melhor Tradução para Língua Inglesa.
