Filming T.E. Lawrence

The 1962 Spiegel-Lean "Lawrence of Arabia" was a successful attempt to dramatize T.E. Lawrence's adventures on screen; three decades earlier Alexander Korda had tried, over five years, to film Lawrence's life. This is the story of his attempt, giving an insight into the British film industry.
