ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Manuel Pedroso Marques

Manuel Pedroso Marques was born in Lisbon, is a colonel in the Army, and participated, as a captain, in a military and civilian action against the dictatorship in 1961.
Tried, convicted, exiled in France and Brazil, reinstated after April 25th.
He was a writer, editor, manager, and wrote about administrative, social, and political issues.
An editor for the Delta Larousse Encyclopedia, directed by António Houaiss, he was also the editor of three publishing houses in Brazil.
In Portugal he was president of RTP, from the company of Daily News and from Capital, director of Bertrand and Difel, advertising companies, and the Lusa News Agency.
In his military career, he was twice stationed in the office of the Chief of Staff of the Army, served as military advisor to the Prime Minister, Mário Soares, and was an instructor for captains in Military Administration in classes on Strategy and Management Theory.
