Eric Carle said: "I believe that the transition from home to school is the second greatest trauma of childhood; The first, certainly, is to be born. In both cases we exchange a warm and protective environment for an unknown one. I believe that children are creative by nature and capable of learning. In my books I try to minimize this fear, replace it with a positive message. I want to show them that learning is really fascinating and fun."
