Current Trends In Radiation Protection

Organizers of the 11th IRPA International Congress have wished to take advantage of this occasion to Launch a new series of books dedicated to review the current important problems of concern in radioprotection. The four editors have combined their efforts to assemble within this book contributions from the worldwide and most famous specialists in their respective fields. Their signatures lead to the insurance of a first class information. All aspects ofradioprotection are treated, through synthetic articles accessible to all. Very didactic, this book will be useful to radioprotection professionals willing to take the stake of all aspects within their profession, but also to engineers, physicists, physicians, researchers, and non-specialist people who will find here a thorough synthesis of all aspects of radiological protection. Henri Métivier, Former Director of Researches at the Institute of radiation protection and nuclear safety is today Scientific Advisor of the director and member of the Committee 2 of the International Commission of Radiological Protection. Leopoldo Arranz is professor at the Medical school of Alcata de Henares University and head of Radiation physic and radiation protection department of Ramon y Cajal hospital in Madrid. Eduardo Gallego is Titular Professor at the Nuclear Engineering Department of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, head of a research group on Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection and a laboratory of neutron dosimetry. Annie Sugier, Director of international cooperation in radiation protection for the Institute of radiation protection and nuclear safety in France and member of the main commission of the International Commission of Radiological protection.
