ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Tom Stoppard

Tom Stoppard nasceu em 1937, na Checoslováquia. Passou a infância em Singapura, na Índia e, a partir de 1946, em Inglaterra. Tendo abandonado os estudos aos 17 anos, Stoppard trabalhou como repórter em Bristol, mudando-se depois para Londres, onde se tornou crítico de teatro e guionista. Foi por esta altura que começou a escrever peças de teatro, encenadas e aclamadas pela crítica, e escreveu o seu romance Lord Malquist and Mr Moon. É hoje um dos mais celebrados dramaturgos do mundo.
