Maurice Blanchot

O escritor e ensaísta francês Maurice Blanchot morreu no dia 20 de fevereiro de 2003, aos 95 anos. Blanchot nasceu em 22 de dezembro de 1907, no interior da França. Era filho de uma rica família católica. Estudou literatura alemã e filosofia. Blanchot era um escritor exigente, que construiu uma obra difícil e sem concessões. Os seus livros influenciaram várias gerações de escritores e filósofos, como Michel Foucault e Jacques Derrida.
