Russell Freedman

Russell Freedman (1929-2018), nascido em São Francisco, na Califórnia, foi autor de mais de 50 livros destinados a jovens leitores. Trabalhou como editor na agência de notícias Associated Press e depois também em publicidade. Nessa época, leu um artigo sobre um adolescente deficiente visual que inventou a máquina de escrever em Braille e, então, decidiu escrever o seu primeiro livro para adolescentes, Teenagers who made history [Adolescentes que fizeram história].
