Patricia Cornwell

Patricia Cornwell is the author of numerous books. bestsellers, published by Presença, such as Jack the Ripper - Portrait of a Killer, Post-Mortem - the only thriller to win the awards Edgar, Creasey, Anthony and Macavityas well as French Prize for Adventure Novels - and Cruel and Unusual, awarded with the Gold Dagger Award for best police officer in 1993. Its protagonist, forensic doctor Dr. Kay Scarpetta, received the award. Sherlock In 1999, she was named best detective created by an American author.
