ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Philip Reeve

Philip Reeve was born in 1966 in Brighton, where he worked in a bookstore for several years. He was also an author, director, and producer of theatrical plays. Meanwhile, he dedicated himself to illustrating children's books, having illustrated more than 40 books. He debuted as a writer with... Deadly Machines, winner of the Smarties Book Prize and finalist for the Branford Boase Award and the Whitbread Children's Book Award in 2002. This work begins the tetralogy of which the volumes are part: The Predator's Gold and Infernal Machines, also previously published by Editorial Presença.
