Cecil Scott "C.S." Forester é o pseudónimo de Cecil Louis Troughton Smith (1899-1966), romancista britânico que alcançou a fama com as suas histórias sobre batalhas navais históricas. A sua obra-prima consiste na série de doze livros sobre Horatio Hornblower, oficial da Marinha Britânica durante as Guerras Napoleónicas.
