In book one, Vic learns the truth of the strange dreams she has had for years and begins a quest that may last a lifetime - or quickly end her life!  Along the way, she encounters a boatload of bad guys and monsters, is captured by slavers, fights war criminals,  and stuns fellow hunters with her first primitive persona experience.

In book two, Vic's friend from high school, Lin Li, travels with her to Outer Mongolia.  Among their many deadly encounters, they  run into a "myth" with a thousand-year history and battle an underling war-lord of the infamous Mad Baron.
