Carlos Martins é investigador no Centro de Astrofísica da Universidade do Porto e coordenador da sua Unidade de Formação. É licenciado em Astronomia e doutorado em Física Teórica, e trabalha na fronteira entre as duas áreas, coordenando uma equipa que usa observações astrofísicas como sonda da física fundamental.
