John Gardner

John Gardner tornou-se um dos autores mais aclamados pelos seus romances, coletâneas de contos e ensaios. Nasceu na Batavia, em Nova Iorque, em 1933 e foi professor de Inglês, Anglo-Saxão e escrita criativa em vários Estados norte-americanos. A sua obra inclui, entre outros, The Art of Fiction, The Art of Living, October Light, Jason and Medeia, The Life and Times of Chaucer, The Sunlight Dialogues, Stillness and Shadows e vários livros para crianças. Faleceu em 1982 num acidente de mota.
