Thomas Meyer

Thomas Meyer (Bernkastel-Kues,1966) estuda filosofia moderna alemã e história das ideias. Doutorou-se em 2003 e recebeu a sua agregação em 2009. Ensinou nas universidades de Chicago, Vanderbilt, Nashville, Wake Forest, Winston-Salem, Zurique e Graz. Escreve para o DIE ZEIT, o SZ, o Jüdische Allgemeine, o FAZ, a BR2 e a Deutschlandfunk. Tem publicado amplamente sobre Ernst Cassirer, bem como sobre filosofia e teologia judaica. Em 2006, a sua biografia de Ernst Cassirer foi nomeada para o Prémio da Feira do Livro de Leipzig. Editou três livros de Hannah Arendt que se tornaram grandes sucessos na Alemanha.
