Rita mae Brown

Rita Mae Brown é uma incansável lutadora: fez parte do movimento pelos direitos civis e do movimento contra a guerra do Vietname, na década de 60, e participou nas revoltas de Stonewall («Era a única mulher no meio daquilo tudo», comenta). Na década de 80, trabalhou como guionista para diversos programas de televisão, tendo sido nomeada para os Emmy. É autora de numerosos romances e da conhecida série de livros policiais protagonizados pelo seu gato, Sneaky Pie Brown. Vive numa quinta em Charlottesville, na Virgínia.
