John Keane

John Keane nascido na Austrália, John Keane estudou nas universidades de Adelaide, Toronto e Cambridge . Em 1989, fundou o Centro para os Estudos da Democracia (CSD). É professor de Política na Universidade de Sydney e na Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin. Os seus interesses de investigação incluem o futuro da governação global; medo, violência e democracia; cidadania e sociedade civil; a história do secularismo; vida pública e liberdade de comunicação; republicanismo do século XVIII; os regimes pós-comunistas da Europa central e oriental; e a filosofia e política do Islão.
