ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Pedro Serrano

Pedro Serrano was born in Porto and is a doctor. He wrote the novels In the summer I always look younger. (Amazon, 2004) Visitation (2015), Sometimes at Night (2019) and Except for the Rain (2021). He is the author of Don't Come Late, travelogue of a journey by land between Porto and Nepal (2014), A Wool Without Africa, compilation of texts written during trips made within the scope of health cooperation with Portuguese-speaking countries (2015), Independent Heart (2000), and Writing and Presenting Scientific Papers (2nd edition, 2004). He is also the author of the poetry anthology By Shortcut It's Gone (2018) and the short story anthology It flew, but not like the birds. (2020). With Angelina Barbosa translated into Portuguese Bob Dylan - Lyrics 1962-2011, a work published in two volumes, revised the work of Oliver Sacks. Musicophilia (2008), and prepared, annotated and illustrated the 2nd edition of In Praise of Shadows, by Junichiro Tanizaki (2008). Island with a View of the Sea: An Adventure in Medical Service in the Periphery He won the 2019 Fialho de Almeida Prize (Fiction) from the Portuguese Society of Medical Writers and Artists.
