Most parents these days are looking for answers to the questions they have that they believe will help them in their efforts to be successful parents. Too often however, they are unable to find helpful answers because they are asking the wrong questions. Rather than some of the more common questions like, "Where have we gone wrong?", "Why won't Jason ever listen?", "Why do they seem to prefer being at someone else's house?", Parenting with an Attitude focuses on twenty-one of the more important questions to ask ourselves if it is our desire to make improvements in our parenting efforts. Asking the right questions helps to fine-tune our parenting attitudes and in doing so, helps ensure that we raise healthy and responsible kids who grow up to be well-adjusted adults. Parenting with an Attitude is different than most books written on parenting today. What sets it apart is that it focuses more on our efforts and attitudes as parents to our kids and what we can do differently, rather than on the attitude of our kids and how we can somehow extract changes from them. As our attitudes improve, we will see the changes we desire in them. To help you in this process, I have included at the end of each chapter several discussion questions for you to consider.
