The premature death of Will Rayner’s wife, Annie,
changes his life dramatically. Left with four young
children to raise he struggles to come to terms with
her death, and with his career in the Church.
An opportunity allows him to start a new life with
his family. Annie offers occasional guidance from
beyond the grave and, while sometimes cryptic, helps
her family in times of need.
The story then moves on from Will to focus on the
lives of his children, each on different paths, but all
comforted by the guiding presence of their mother.
