Donald Tyson nasceu em 12 de janeiro de 1954, em Nova Escócia, Canadá. É um prolífico escritor da literatura oculta moderna que criou um sistema de magia capaz de adentrar as complexas áreas do oculto, como a magia enochiana e a união sexual com os espíritos.
Raramente participa de convenções e seminários relacionados ao assunto, pois prefere ficar em casa trabalhando em seus projetos. Seu material é frequentemente desafiado pelos mestres da magia, uma vez que ele aplica conceitos revolucionários em cada trabalho.
Atualmente, permanece como um dos autores do oculto mais acessíveis, com os seus escritos abrangendo assuntos de vários âmbitos. Donald Tyson também escreve romances.
