Anthony Hope

Anthony Hope (1863-1933), a prolific English novelist and playwright, became famous for his novels The Prisoner of Zenda and the sequel Rupert of Hentzau, which inspired several well-known film adaptations. He was knighted in 1918 for his contribution to Allied propaganda during the Great War.
