Emma Donoghue
Emma Donoghue nasceu em Dublin, em 1969. É duplamente emigrante. Passou oito anos em Cambridge, Inglaterra, a tirar um doutoramento em literatura do século XVIII, antes de se mudar para London, Ontario. Por outro lado, Emma Donoghue também migra entre géneros literários: escreve argumentos assim como novelas históricas e contemporâneas e contos.
O seu bestseller internacional «O Quarto de Jack» foi finalista do Man Booker, Commonwealth e Orange Prizes e premiado com diversas distinções. A autoria do argumento para o filme «O Quarto» valeu-lhe uma nomeação para o Óscar de melhor adaptação de argumento original.
