James Martin é jesuíta e editor-geral da revista America. Depois de se ter licenciado na Escola de Negócios da Universidade da Pensilvânia, James Martin trabalhou durante seis anos em Finanças, antes de entrar na Companhia de Jesus e cursar Filosofia e Teologia.
