Alessandro Baricco

Alessandro Baricco was born in Turin in 1958, and made his literary debut at the age of 33 with the novel Castles of Rage.
Your first bestseller International, Silk (Don Quixote, 2007) has been translated into several languages ​​and the six novels he wrote have won numerous literary awards, including the Prix ​​Médicis Étrangér, in France.
A critical and popular success, his work is called "postmodern," an expression with multiple interpretations and perhaps too understated for an author who has already carved out a prominent place in the world of literature. Perhaps because he seeks intensity in his relationship with readers, Baricco is today one of the favorite authors among younger generations.
Baricco's literary output is quite diverse, encompassing plays, essays, collections of articles, among others. He is also the author of novels. Ocean Sea, City, Without Blood (Don Quixote, 2003) and of This Story (Don Quixote, 2008).
