ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Howard Phillips Lovecraft

Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937) was born and died in Providence (United States of America). During his lifetime, he published his stories only in cheap magazines, but after his death he became a cult author, unanimously recognized, and his work was the subject of several university studies. Its unique and terrifying universe has never ceased to inspire generations of writers, filmmakers, painters, musicians and game makers, from Stephen King to Clive Barker, passing through H. R. Giger and Metallica. Lovecraft's work focuses on cosmic entities whose secret presence in our reality is so inconceivable that it condemns to madness those who discover it. The Awakening of Cthulhu is his best-known work.
