High Horizons eBook

This book is a collection of 6 tours around the European Alps undertaken between 2009 and 2016. For each one I have taken a theme, for example Napoleon’s passes and related it to the places that we see today. Not only are the Alps a great place to cycle but because of the ruggedness of the mountains and the remoteness of some of the valleys cultures and traditions have remained longer than in many other parts of Europe. Great armies and large movements of people have had to use the same passes due to the lack of alternatives over this great geological barrier. These passes have been to a degree a focus of my itineraries. All these tours were done from the perspective of a touring bicycle.
