Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. When we first commenced the work, of which this book is the result, we had no intention of ever publishing it in book form. Realizing our need of a more intimate acquaintance with the Holy Scriptures, we began making a thorough study of each book of the Bible. We found this study so profitable for both mind and heart, that we could not refrain from making the fruits of it known to others. Some friends strongly importuned us to publish, in some permanent form, the notes we had made. We have yielded to their request, hoping that this book will be the means of stirring up Christians generally to more diligence in searching the blessed Word of God.
