ABOUT THE AUTHOR

John Keay

John Keay, journalist and historian, was born in 1941 in England. He is the author of a vast body of work, which includes travelogues and historical books, mostly about India and the Middle East, his area of ​​expertise. Crazy about the Mekong: Exploration and Empire in Southeast Asia, Sowing the Wind: The Disorder of the Middle East 1900-1960 and Last Post: The End of the Empire in the Far East These are some of his most recent books.
Together with his wife, the writer Julia Keay, he coordinated the Collins Encyclopedia of Scotland, currently reviewing the London Encyclopedia.
Keay lives in Scotland with his wife and four children.
