Joseph E. Stiglitz é economista, professor universitário e autor do bestseller O Preço da Desigualdade. Foi presidente do Conselho Económico da Administração Clinton e economista-chefe e vice presidente do Banco Mundial. Recebeu o Prémio Nobel da Economia em 2001.
