ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Gerhard L. Weinberg

Gerhard L. Weinberg nasceu na Alemanha, em Hannover, em 1928, e entre 1939 e 1940 viveu em Inglaterra. Mais tarde, em 1944, mudou-se para os EUA. Viria a trabalhar no War Documentation Project, onde iniciou o programa de microfilmagem e estudo de documentos confiscados às forças alemãs. Foi professor nas universidades de Kentucky, Michigan, e Carolina do Norte, tendo-se jubilado em 1999. Gerhard. L. Weinberg exerceu vários cargos em organizações profissionais. Presidiu a diversas comissões de consultoria do governo norte-americano. Tem vários livros publicados que lhe valeram diversos prémios e doutoramentos honorários.
