ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Joe Abercrombie

Joe Abercrombie was born in Lancaster, England, in 1974. He was educated at the prestigious Royal Grammar School LancasterHe spent much of his time playing computer and dice games, and drawing maps of nonexistent places, and later graduated in Psychology from the University of Manchester. Before dedicating himself entirely to writing, he worked in a television post-production company. He is considered one of the greatest exponents of contemporary fantasy literature.
