John Cornwell

John Cornwell nasceu em Londres, em 1940. É jornalista, escritor e historiador, mais amplamente conhecido pela sua obra «O Papa de Hitler», uma biografia de Eugenio Pacelli (que, em 1939, se tornaria o papa Pio XII) onde o autor demonstra a estreita colaboração entre o papado e o regime nazi. Com o seu mais recente livro — «Hitler’s Scientists: Science, War and the Devil’s Pact» — conquistou o prémio Science and Medical Network Book of the Year, em 2005.
Uma autoridade na história e na filosofia da ciência, John Cornwell é director do Projecto Science and Human Dimension, no Jesus College, Universidade de Cambridge. É colaborador do «Sunday Times» (Londres), abordando temas científicos, éticos e religiosos. É membro da Royal Society of Literature.
